The Skoda Scala has been on sale for four years now. In automotive life cycle terms, that’s middle age – which means it’s time for the car’s facelift. Skoda will launch a revamped version of its value focused hatchback on 1 August 2023. It’ll feature a series of well-aimed tweaks that are designed to maximise the car’s competitiveness while minimising development costs.And Skoda will be keen to find the best bang for its buck with the facelifted Scala because the hatchback market is a volatile space. The pricing strategies are aggressive and the profit margins are slim. Just look at the Ford. The brand axed the Fiesta because it couldn’t electrify it without driving its price into the stratosphere – and the company found buyers were flocking to its taller sister car, the Ford Puma crossover.
