This marks a significant step in the celebration of the Mansour Group’s 50 years of operations in the Egyptian market. The new factory is set to enhance Egypt's competitiveness in local manufacturing and support the state's efforts to localize the automotive industry.

Minister El-Wazir emphasized that the project embodies the country’s vision for deepening local manufacturing, increasing value-added production, and expanding the national production base through a business environment based on partnerships and collaboration between the government, the private sector, and both local and foreign investors.

The Mansour Group has chosen to lead this transformation, leveraging its extensive experience of over fifty years in the Egyptian automotive market by establishing a state-of-the-art factory with investments exceeding 150 million USD. This factory is set to produce 50,000 environmentally friendly vehicles in the first phase, contributing to the transfer of modern technologies and providing 6,000 to 10,000 direct and indirect job opportunities for Egyptians.

The Minister also stated that the government’s strategy for advancing the automotive industry aims to establish a comprehensive, integrated industry, starting with component manufacturing, through vehicle assembly, and progressing to localizing the production of electric and hybrid vehicles. This aligns with global trends toward sustainable and green transportation.

In this regard, the government launched the National Automotive Industry Development Program, which seeks to achieve a major leap in the sector by increasing production capacity to 100,000 vehicles per year per company and producing 7,000 electric cars by the program's completion in 2032. The program also aims to raise the local component ratio to over 35% and increase local value-added content to around 60%.

The program is based on a comprehensive system of incentives that link industrial, environmental, and investment performance, including incentives to increase local content, production volume, attract new investments, meet environmental standards, and develop priority industrial zones. These goals reflect the government's commitment to building a competitive, national automotive industry that can compete both regionally and internationally while encouraging active participation from the private sector in this significant industrial transformation.

On this occasion, Sir Mohamed Mansour, Chairman of the Mansour Group, expressed his optimism for the future: "I am confident that, as Egyptians, we are capable of succeeding and excelling."

He added, "This factory is a message of confidence sent by the Mansour Group to both domestic and international investors, showing that the Egyptian market is large and promising and has all the elements needed for competition. We will invest nearly 7.5 billion EGP into this industrial facility, which represents a leap forward for the automotive industry in Egypt and the entire region."

Mansour also expressed his confidence in the Egyptian economy's future performance, pointing to the country's improved international ranking, stable exchange rates, increasing foreign reserves, and reduced interest rates—all of which are factors that encourage and attract both domestic and foreign investors.

He further explained, "The future of sustainable growth in Egypt lies in supporting local manufacturing. The factory will meet local market needs and open new opportunities for export to African markets and several other regional and international markets."

Meanwhile, Ankush Arora, CEO of Mansour Group, confirmed that the factory is part of the group’s strategy to enhance local manufacturing, reduce dependence on imported cars, and achieve environmental sustainability goals. The factory will utilize the latest technologies aimed at protecting the environment by producing electric, hybrid, and other green transportation vehicles.

Arora added, "Our group aims to strengthen strategic partnerships with major global automakers to transfer modern technology, develop local skills, and produce the latest vehicles that keep pace with global changes."
