Jameel Motors, the authorized dealer for the GAC brand in the Egyptian market, has launched its new compact crossover, the Aion Y Plus. This marks the Chinese brand’s first electric vehicle (EV) in Egypt, available in a single trim with a price tag of EGP 1,300,000.اضافة اعلان
Aion, which operates under the GAC umbrella, first introduced the electric Y Plus in October 2022. It is an updated version of the Y model launched in 2021, featuring a larger size and a slightly revised design.
The vehicle measures 4535 mm in length, 1870 mm in width, and 1650 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2750 mm. It comes equipped with several external features, including automatically adjustable LED headlights, daytime running lights, follow-me-home lights, power-adjustable and foldable door mirrors with heating and turn signals, rain sensors, hidden door handles, rear fog lights, and 17-inch alloy wheels with a spare tire.
Inside, the cabin features leather seats, a 14.6-inch touchscreen for entertainment and information, a 10.25-inch LCD screen, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with an electronic gear shifter, automatic air conditioning with an air-purification feature, USB ports for both front and rear seats, rear AC vents, a 6-speaker sound system, and a 12V power outlet. The driver’s seat can be adjusted in six directions electronically, and the windows can be opened and closed with a single press of a button.
The Aion Y Plus is powered by an electric motor that produces 201 horsepower and 225 Nm of torque, paired with a battery that offers a driving range of up to 490 km.
